Nikhil Pandit
Nikhil is one of Rajasthan’s most well-known travel professionals, and with his wife, runs a successful travel company in Jaipur. Between 2001 and 2002, Nikhil took a sabbatical from business to become Founding CEO of the Jaipur Viraasat Foundation (JVF). With a keen interest in responsible tourism, he helped shape the philosophy of the foundation – to be dedicated to the creative management of Rajasthan’s cultural and built heritage to make it a source of livelihood for creative communities that are bypassed by mainstream development mechanisms, and help to drive a heritage-based approach to sustainable development. The JVF runs the annual Jaipur Festival and the Jodhpur Folk Festival.

Today, Nikhil spends his time helping fellow tour operators in Rajasthan in a voluntary role with their association, and has been appointed by Trip Advisor as their Jaipur specialist. While he is not playing squash with members of various princely families, he is out enjoying photography, especially in rural Rajasthan.
