A Walk In The Clouds
It’s the region where the clouds descend to greet you, a region where the reach of nature exceeds that of man, where the greenery is so lush it almost hurts your eyes. This is the northeast of India, where the fine line between the sky and earth is lost amid mists. And what better time to visit this abode high up in the sky than the monsoon! Come out of the rains and walk into the clouds – literally. Tourists will be able to embrace the rainfall and misty mountains in all their glory on this trip into the misty highs. The tour operator will take you on a journey through India’s northeast, from Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, to Asia’s cleanest village, Mawlynnong , on the border of Bangladesh. You get to travel through Cherrapunjee, the place of the heaviest rainfall in the world, thundering waterfalls and underground caves. Trample through the region in your gumboots and raincoats and explore the heart of the monsoon!
