Tree House Hideaway

There is something magical about having a hot shower in a bathroom in a cabin 6 meters off the ground. Made completely of polished hardwood with high wooden pylon and a sliding door open to the veranda overlooking the treetops of the jungle – this is the way all treehouses should be made. It’s like staying with fairytale tree-elves – except they might not provide you with a natural ‘Neroli and Lemon Zest shampoo’ and scented towels and bathrobes.

A langur monkey or a parakeet might see you bathing with the door open, but otherwise your privacy is complete among the foliage. And walking from one end of the room to the other, you can feel the cabin vibrate slightly under your weight and see the ceiling fan wobbling. As if the room were somehow alive.
The resort consists of five tree houses situated near the entrance to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve – one of the few reserves in India where you actually get to see tigers, rather than mere pugmarks and droppings. This means that the only regrets guests usually have at the end of their stay, is that they have been spending too much time in the reserve and too little time lazing around their beautiful cabin-on-beams.
